Friendship Bobbie welcomed me into her life as a special friend in the early 1970s. We spent many times together sharing a meal, attending the Southern Christmas shows, shopping and worshipping. Proverbs 31 exemplifies her life. Linda Minter

Into the Jungle Many years ago, while visiting the South Pacific island of Peleliu, Glenn, Bobbie, Kevin, and myself were flown into the jungle, landing on an old air strip left from WWII. After landing, the pilot instructed us to sit under a tin shelter and a driver would be by shortly to pick us up. So there we were in the middle of the jungle, Bobbie dressed to the max wearing her glittery jewelry that she so enjoyed. As the pilot promised, the driver came....in an old pickup truck. Knowing that Bobbie wasn't used to riding in the back of a truck, I let her have the front seat with the driver and Glenn, Kevin, and myself rode in the bed of the pick up truck...it was great....there were many potholes and the seat where Bobbie was sitting had broken springs....later on, when we made our way back to the hotel on Palau, there was a mouse in Glenn and Bobbie's room....Bobbie saw the mouse and hopped up on top of the bed. Then we made our way to a local restaurant and everything we went to order they were out of, which often happens on islands, but the server told Bobbie, "no chicken, no pork, no pineapple....none anywhere on island" Bobbie recalled that trip and those stories many times over the years, with much delight. That was probably the best trip we ever took, together. I will never forget my mother in law dressed to the nines with all the bling riding through the jungle in an old beat up truck. Thanks for the memories, Bobbie.
