Obituary of Howard Johnson

Howard Johnson, 76, of Whitwell and formerly of Soddy-Daisy passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2008 in an area health care facility. He worked as an automobile mechanic and retired from Auto Zone in Red Bank. Mr. Johnson attended the Plainview Community Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Lelies Johnson; son, Johnnie Johnson; three brothers and two sisters. Survivors include his son, Dr. Harold (Ginger) Johnson of Czech Republic; daughters, Cathy (Ronnie) Hawkins, Vivian (Roy) Gamble, Mary (Howard) Tucker, all of Soddy-Daisy; brothers, Wallace Johnson and Walter "W.K." Johnson of Nashville; sisters, Marie Mincey of Soddy-Daisy; Nina Jo Alexander of Indiana; Viola Sutter of Texas; Naomi Smith of Brayton, TN and Genevie Smith of Indiana; seven grandchildren, five step grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, five step great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 12:00 Noon EDT Friday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Mike Rigsby officiating. Interment will follow in Red Hill Cemetery in Whitwell.
