Nannie Elizabeth Christian, 93, of Soddy-Daisy passed away Monday, March 30, 2009 in an area healthcare facility. She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garmon G. Christian, Sr., son, Garmon G. Christian, Jr. and daughter, Evelyn Goins. Elizabeth is survived by her son, James (Tynia) Christian of Hixson; daughters, Virginia (Bill) Cannon of Tifton, GA, Betty (Rainer) Dreyer of Soddy-Daisy and Gladys (Lloyd) Privett of Hixson; eleven grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, April 2, 2009 in the Legacy Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Hooker Cemetery in Dade County, Georgia. The family will receive friends from 4:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Arrangements are by locally owned and operated Legacy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 8911 Dallas Hollow Road, Soddy-Daisy, TN.
