Kerna Hicks, 79, of Hixson passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 in an area healthcare facility. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roby D. Hicks and brother, Henry Headrick. Survivors include her son, George W. Hendricks of Hixson; daughter, Debbie E. Bumbalough of Watertown, TN; brother, Laurice Headrick of Rossville, GA; grandchildren, Laura Dansbury, Amos Wilson and Jesse Wilson. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Dr. David McNabb officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton County Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Legacy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 8911 Dallas Hollow Rd.
