My sincere condolences to the Archibald family. I worked with Freddie at the VAMC and he and I went hunting together many times while working there. I have thought of Freddie often and wondered where he was and what he was doing. I served in the Navy Reserve Military Intelligence Unit at Rosedale with Carl. It saddens me greatly to hear of this passing. We had many fond memories together. Mike Parham
Pam and I are so sorry to hear about Freddy. I've wondered how he was doing and where he was. The last time I saw him he was moving out west to live with Bruce. I was saddened to hear about Freddie. Although it has been close to 25 years since I had seen him, Freddie was a special childhood friend. Living next door to him for a few years growing up, we had a lot of fun times that stayed etched in my mind. Sports was a link to our friendship. I just wanted to send you an e-mail to let you know I have you in my thoughts and prayers. Freddie and I were classmates at Holt High School. When I think of Freddie I remember a fella that was always smiling and seemed to really enjoy life. Even though we were not real close friends he always seemed glad to see you. The last time I remember seeing Freddie was when he was working at PARA here in Tuscaloosa. I was out walking and ran into him and we talked for a few minutes. I'm so sadden to hear about Freddy. We go so far back from the days at Holt Elementary and living just a few doors down from each other to Holt High School. I remember running in an out of each others homes, riding bikes and just being kids when we lived behind Holt High School. Some of you probably remember, he was one of my first "boyfriends". He was always so kind to me. I loved your entire family and I'm sorry to say I haven't seem any of you in years. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. I'll always remember Freddy as someone who loved making people laugh and was a good friend to me from elementary school till adulthood.
