Obituary of Chester Dale McCleeary

Chester Dale McCleeary, 88, of Soddy-Daisy passed away Saturday, October 10, 2009 in an area healthcare facility. Mr. McCleeary was a devoted Christian and a member of Silverdale Baptist Church. He served as a Sunday school teacher and deacon for many years. He was a kind, loving and gentle man who is now with his Lord. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Mary McCleeary. Survivors include his wife, Flo McCleeary of Soddy-Daisy; daughters, Rebecca Ann (Gary) Gildow of Ketchum, Oklahoma and Kathy Patrice (Paul) Ross of Soddy-Daisy; brother, Dean W. (Edna) McCleeary of Runnells, Iowa; Grandchildren, Jason and Jeff Gildow, Joshua, Jared, Jordan and Jenna Ross; great-grandchildren, Nellie Ross and Erik and Annika Gildow. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 in the Legacy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tony Walliser and Dr. Seton Tomyn officiating. Interment will follow in Silverdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
