I have known Edd for about fifteen years now and I admired him as a man of integrety and honor. He was an avid outdoorsman and conservationist. I have grown to love and respect Edd as a hunting buddy, hard working conservationist, a ready and willing volunteer in any endeavor, and as a brother in Christ. I could go on and on about the qualities of this good man. When I last visited Edd, we talked about life for probably five hours. He shared with me many interesting stories, achievements, and a few failures. The conversation ended with us talking about although we were far from perfect, we have a perfect record in heaven due to the the grace that we have accepted through Jesus Christ. He spoke humbley about salvation and how that he wants everyone around him to also accept the gift of salvation. Edd was a big man with a big heart. Sleep well, my dear friend. I'll see you in heaven.

Papaw Posey There are so many stories to tell but I just want to write about the memories I have about the summers/holidays in Port Serena. Papaw and Nanny taught me how to work a garden, from planting the seed to eating the food we had grown. Then at night we would sit down to watch TV with a bowl of ice cream with chocolate syrup. At Thanksgiving and Christmas the family would gather for a big meal and a lot of laughter. My Papaw was a very good man and was a blessing to all who knew him. I will miss him very much! Love you Papaw!!

I was sorry to hear of Ed's passing. I was acquainted with Ed for for many years when we both were employed at DuPont. We were also in the National Guard together in the early 70's. As a matter of fact he was my First Sergeant for a year when I was HQ Btry Commander in the 181st Artillery. I will always remember Ed as a fair man with the troops. He always had a smile for everyone and was a real pleasure to serve with. We lost touch in the last years as is the case many times, but I will always remember him fondly and with respect. My regards and sympathies for the family.
