Obituary of Charles L. Beavers

Charles L.'Bud' Beavers, 79, of Louisville, Kentucky and formerly of Falling Water passed away, Thursday, July 15, 2010, after an illness. Mr. Beavers served in the U. S. Army and obtained the rank of Corporal, after leaving the Service Mr. Beavers also worked in the Cemetery, Shipping and Food Industries. He retired from Conagra Foods after it purchased Armour Foods. Mr. Beavers was a member of Farmdale Baptist Church of Louisville and of the Pewee Valley Lodge no. 829, F. & A. M., A.A.S.R. He was preceded in death by his parents Homer and Elsie Beaver, his sister Dorothy Johnson, his brothers Tom and Jerry Beaver, his nephew Larry Johnson. Mr. Beavers is survived by his wife of 58 years, Norma Jane West Beavers, daughter Debbie, sons Teddy, Eddie and Timmy, his brother Harold (Gloria) Beaver and sister Patricia Moore, five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday in the Legacy Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11 AM-3 PM and 5-8 PM on Sunday and from 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM on Monday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Lung Association.
