Obituary of LaVonna Jane Dodd

LaVonna Jane Dodd, 69, of Chattanooga passed away Friday, July 23, 2010 at her residence. She worked for many years at Associates in Internal Medicine and retired from Dialysis Clinic Inc. Mrs. Dodd attended Cross of Calvary Community Church and was a member of the Hixson Chapter 210 OES. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar T. and Ethel Beene and brother, Harry Allen Poe. She is survived by her husband, Tim Dodd of Chattanooga; sons, Mike Dodd of Chattanooga and Bobby (Kathy) Dodd of Ooltewah; brother, Tommy (Frances) Beene of Chattanooga; sisters, Rosalee (Jack) Johnston and Helen (Robert) Simpson, all of Chattanooga; Freda (Doug) Rymer of Cleveland and Brenda Leffew of Soddy-Daisy; grandchildren, Brandon and Katie Dodd and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday in the Legacy Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kenny Morgan and Pastor Phillip Warren officiating. Interment will follow in Rhea Memory Gardens with her nephews and grandson serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 4:00-8:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
