Obituary of Christine Marie Hunter

Christine Marie Hunter, 64, of Belvidere, IL went to be with her Lord and Higher Power, on the morning of Friday, September 17, 2010. She was in the loving care of her daughter, Mary Timmerman in Lookout Valley, TN. Christine was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was proud to be a recovering alcoholic of 21 years and was an ambassador for many people in her AA Group. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Leo Hunter; son, Edward Daniel Hunter, father, Benner Root and brothers, James Root and Jackie Root and sister, Gwendolyn Root Survivors include her mother, Loretta Henderson of Bartlett, IL; daughters, Loretta S. (Edward) Krekeler of Beaumont, TX; Mary F. (Danny) Timmerman of Lookout Valley, TN; sons, Edward J. (Kimberley) Hunter of Soddy-Daisy and Mark. L. Hunter of Roscoe, IL; grandchildren, Sarah Hallowell, Mariah Hallowell, Cody Hunter, Caleb Hunter Timmerman, Hannah Leigh Hallowell, Jamye Hunter, Justin Hunter and Joshua Timmerman; great grandchildren, Khalil Franklin and Chance Munson; several brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. A service will be held at 8:00 PM on Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at Legacy Funeral Home with immediate family sharing memories about her life. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home. For extended family members and friends, a celebration of life memorial service will be held at a later date in her home state. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family or to The American Cancer Society of Northern, IL in the Hunter family name.
