Obituary of Sandra Kay Burgess

Sandra Kay Burgess, 71, of Chattanooga passed away Monday, May 2, 2011 at her home with her three daughters and son-in-law at her bedside. She was a nurse for many years in the Chattanooga area and was of the Presbyterian Faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter McClure and Rachel Kellogg and sister, Barbara (Frank) Brown. Survivors include her daughters, Amber (Tim) Harvey of Soddy-Daisy; Christina (Bryan) Lopes of Ooltewah and Melissa (Matt) Scalla of McDonald, TN; sister, Mary Jo (Joe) McCary of Caldwell, ID; grandchildren, Alicyne Harvey, Jon (Cayla) Harvey, Rachel-Anne and Collin Scalla; great-grandson, Lucas Coffelt and her precious dog, Gabby, who brought her so much joy and companionship. Services will be held at 6PM on Wednesday in the funeral home chapel. The family will receive friends from 4-6 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
