Obituary of Evelyn Louise O'Brien

Evelyn Louise O'Brien, 87, of Hixson, formerly of Nashville, TN, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2011. She was a member of Inglewood Baptist Church and retired from Genesco after many years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard O'Brien; parents, Clarence and Ruby Summers; and brother, Jimmie Summers. Survivors include her daughter, Cheryl (Ron) Rowlett of Hixson; grandchildren, Chris Rowlett, Tim and Lauren Rowlett, and Jennifer Rowlett; great-grandchildren, Carter, Reese, and Landen Rowlett; and niece, Jacqueline Hollingsworth. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. E.D.T. on Thursday September 1, 2011 in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Ron Phillips officiating. Interment will be at 2:00 PM. C.D.T. in Woodlawn Memorial Park in Nashville. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
