Obituary of Shirley Ester Shoats Walker

Shirley Ester Shoats Walker, 71, of Soddy-Daisy passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2012 in an area hospital. Shirley was a member of Straightway Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Thomas Shoats, Sr. and L.J. Walker. Survivors include her son, Thomas Shoats, Jr. of Soddy-Daisy; daughter, Nancy Gregory of Hixson; grandchildren, Nathan and Jennifer Shoats and Laura Burkhart and Randall Gregory; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Joshua, Macara, Miranda, Adairan and Ayanna. Funeral services will be held at 1PM on Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Aaron Simmons officiating. Interment will follow in Dodd Cemetery with Chuck Burkhart, Randall Gregory, Nathan Shoats, Jake Burkhart, Ray Essex and Charles Gregory serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 2-9 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
