Obituary of Samuel Dewey Cranmore

Samuel D. Cranmore Jr., 70, a lifelong resident of Soddy-Daisy went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, July 7, 2012. He retired from Hamilton County Highway Department after 37 years of service and was of Church of God faith. Sam was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Sr. and Leila Penny Cranmore, brother, Bill Cranmore, David Cranmore; sister, Dorothy Bowman. Survivors are his wife of 50 years, Sally Coffman Cranmore; son, Ricky (Vicki) Cranmore of East Brainerd; daughter, Judy (Dean) Sneed, eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, sister, Phyllis Higdon and brothers, Bobby and Ronnie Cranmore, all of Soddy-Daisy. Funeral Services will be held at 11AM on Monday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jack Penney officiating. Interment will follow in Varner Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon-4PM and from 6-8 PM on Sunday at the funeral home In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice of Chattanooga, P.O.
