John L. Wells, 91, of Hixson passed away on Friday, August 24, 2012 in an area healthcare facility. Mr. Wells was an Army Veteran of WWII. He was a well-know floral designer at Northgate Flowers for many years. Always the salesman, be it shoes or flowers, his customers were always special to him. John was preceded in death by his parents, Grover and Mabel Wells; brothers, James W. and Roy L. Wells; and nephew, Gary Lee Wells. John is survived by his nieces, Anne (Carl) Maxwell and Carolyn (Terry) Schuster; nephews, Jim (Thelma) Wells, LeBron (Amy) Wells, Mike (Patsy) Wells; sister-in-law, Louise S Wells; four great-nieces; eight great-nephews; many great-great-nieces and nephews, all of whom adored him. Private services will be held in Chattanooga National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga, PO Box 19269 Chattanooga, TN 37416.
