Wayne Stanley Sims, 80, of Soddy-Daisy passed away on Monday, November 5, 2012 in an area hospital. Mr. Sims was a veteran of the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marlene Sims; son, Anthony Sims; brother, Ray Sims; sister, Evelyn Youngblood. Survivors include his son, Clifford Sims of Soddy-Daisy; brother, Noel Sims of Ooltewah. Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday in the funeral home chapel. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Granny Walker Cemetery.
