Margaret "Peggy" Lee Morin Franck of Lookout Mountain, Tennessee, died peacefully at home on April 30, 2015, after a long illness. She was the daughter of Luke Octave Morin, Jr., and Conetta Lee Sloan of Lookout Mountain, Tennessee, Granddaughter of Nevins Steffner Sloan and Conetta Estelle Lee Sloan of Lookout Mountain, Tennessee and Luke Octave Morin and Mabel Morin of Los Angeles, California. Peggy was born in Chattanooga Tennessee, on November 30, 1937. She attended The Lookout Mountain School, Girls Preparatory School and Nazareth Academy in Bardstown, Kentucky where she graduated in 1955. She attended Marymount College in Tarrytown, New York where she studied art, which became a lifelong love for her. She continued taking art and painted often with the help of Mary B. Lynch and Elizabeth Worthington, both of which she adored as her teachers. She often had pieces chosen for art shows in Chattanooga and was a member of Tennessee Watercolor Society. She was a member of the Junior League of Chattanooga, and a founding member of the Laurelwood Garden Club of Lookout Mountain. She was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Basilica, Chattanooga, Tennessee and Our Lady of the Mount Catholic Church, Lookout Mountain, Georgia. Peggy was known to many for her artistic talent, and the legacy of her work remains today in many homes and businesses. She was also known for being a kind, giving, and positive person, volunteering her time, talent and treasure to the benefit of others asking nothing in return. Peggy added a unique and artistic flair to any event she was a part of. She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandparents. She is survived by her brother Luke Octave Morin lll, and her children Charles D. (Kathy) Franck lll, granddaughter Natalie, (Atlanta, GA), Margaret Lee (Tim) Healy, granddaughters Julia and Meri Claire, (Franklin, TN) and Christine Franck (Tony) Towns, grandchildren Ruthie, Spencer and Evelyn, (Lookout Mountain, GA), and her niece, Elizabeth Lee Morin, (Nashville, TN). The family will receive guests at Our Lady of the Mount Catholic Church on May 4th from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm, to be followed immediately by Mass at 1:00 pm. Donations in memory of Peggy can be made to Hospice of Chattanooga, the Michael J. Fox Foundation or Our Lady of the Mount Catholic Church. The family wishes to thank Wendy, Mary, Shawna, Melita and Sharon for their love, kindness and dedication, and Hospice of Chattanooga, in particular Mark Mollenkof, for the competent, dedicated, and compassionate care they provided.
