Dear Donna and family, Dana was truly a friend to the broken hearted. He was in many ways my lifesaver sent to minister in my life at just the right time by the Lord.... I will forever be grateful for his compassion, his insight and his ability to use Scripture to show God's love and mercy.

Stoddard Family - Dana brought me here to Chattanooga from Philly straight from Westminster in 2002! I am forever grateful. Dana understood grace and mercy more than an other man in the ministry. I have always, no matter what, respected Dana. He gave me an understanding and connection to grace as no other.

Dear Donna and Family, Some of my best memories are of our being together at Brian's Ultimate games and Dana and I having a conversation about some great philosophical truth, he the tutor, I the student. I appreciated his dedication to his family, to his work, but most of all to the Savior Jesus Christ whom he called Lord. We are all truly blessed to have shared moments in his life and he will be greatly missed. Our family will be praying for yours as you all go through this time of loss and his absence in the future. Our deepest sympathies to the Stoddard family...we met Dana many years ago and he was a great mentor, friend and counselor to both my husband and I. We always appreciated his honesty and always to the point and we loved that about him. He showed my husband how to continue to be a Godly man, counselor and how to look at life differently than the way he was brought up and all the hardships that my husband endured along the way. He will be truly missed and we always loved how he looked at life and loved to help others. More so in their times of needs as well as help those going into the counseling/mercy ministry. He will truly me missed...prayers are lifted for his dear family during this difficult times as well as the upcoming holiday season. Paul and Sherry Baierl

Dear Donna, Bob and I are so saddened to hear of Dana's exit from this world. Please know that you and your children are in our prayers. May the Lord console you in the days and months ahead. From my brief encounter with the next world (my near-death experience back in '88), I can assure you that Dana is experiencing the joy and peace he has never had in this life, no matter how blessed he was while living in this present world. May our God grant you peace and assurance that He holds those whom Dana left behind in His everlasting and tender arms. Let His smile and compassionate eyes embrace you. He loves you so. Love, Sandy Vincent

Mrs. Stoddard, I am so sorry to hear that Dana passed away. My husband and I are one of hundreds of couples Dana counseled. We will miss him greatly. Please know that God worked so may miracles through his ministry. He taught me about foundations in marriage. He taught me forgiveness is always the best choice even when its the hardest. He taught me about "pebbles" and how to stand tall no matter life's circumstances. He taught me honesty can be painful but with God bearable. Thank you for sharing him with us. Love, Brent and Cassandra

Dana is already missed. Yet in the midst of sad feelings about not having him around, I can't help but just be thankful for all the things he's taught me. I thank God for his colorful illustrations of life, his God given heart of grace, his stern stance for the gospel, his humble behavior , and most of all his REALNESS. Dana was one of the realest and most frank ( without being disrespectful) men of God I had met in a long time. I will never forget the lessons learned under Dr.Dana.
