Carl Scott Logan, 56, of Lookout Mountain, Georgia, died on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia surrounded by his family. He was a graduate of Notre Dame High school, owner of Carl Logan Incorporated, active member of Associated General Contractors, fervent sportsman, and tiller of the soil. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Mary McGuffey, and Bryan and Edith Logan, parents Gerald and Shirley Logan, brother Harold Whaley, and family friend Roy Johnson. He is survived by his wife, Gigi Logan, brother, John Logan (Ruth), daughters, Mary Tepper (William), Laura Wilburn (Russ), and Catherine Logan, and granddaughters, Anne Carter, Cate, and Lawson. A service to celebrate Carl’s life will be held at The Church of the Good Shepherd on Lookout Mountain, Tn., on Thursday, March 7, with a reception of friends beginning at 2:30 p.m., followed by a 3:30 p.m. service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Church of the Good Shepherd, 211 Franklin Road, Lookout Mountain, Tn. 37350; or Piedmont Atlanta Healthcare Foundation, 1968 Peachtree Road, Atlanta, Ga, 30309.
