Obituary of William Frank Reese

William Frank Reese, 65, of Whitwell passed away Friday, January 10, 2014 in an area hospital. Mr. Reese retired from the United States Air Force and United States Navy after 22 years of service. Following his retirement he was employed as a mechanic with the United States Postal Service. He was a golden gloves champion boxer, a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows #245 Hill City Lodge, and enjoyed his cars, motorcycles and traveling. He was preceded in death by his parents, Caswell and Katherine Bailey Reese. Survivors include his daughter, Holly (Steve) Burns of Chattanooga; son, Dusty Griffith of Chattanooga; sister, Jerry (David) Griffith of Douglasville, GA; nine grandchildren; nephew, Jeff (Lisa) Griffith; uncle, Frank (Judy) Bailey; special cousin, Roger Thompson and numerous other cousins. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Lamar Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4pm & 6-8pm on Monday at the funeral home. Share your memories at wannfuneralhome.com.
