Carl Franklin Wile, Sr., 73, of Soddy-Daisy passed away on Friday, November 13, 2015. Mr. Wile was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving during the Bay of Pigs Invasion in Cuba. He retired from Delta Airlines as an electrical engineer in Delta's flight simulator department. He enjoyed hunting and the outdoors and made annual trips to Colorado elk hunting for over forty years. His parents, the late, Carl and Sara Lordon Wile preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife Lucille Wile of Soddy-Daisy; son, Carl (Julie) Wile, Jr. of Four Oaks, NC; daughter, Lucia (Frankie) Harvey of Soddy-Daisy; grandchildren, Kirsten and Ryan Wile and Jared, Mason and Gabrielle Harvey. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Hamilton County Memorial Park with military honors provided by the United States Marine Corps. The family will receive friends from 4-8 Monday at the funeral home.
