Betty Jean Green, 74, of Soddy-Daisy, our loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 18th surrounded by her family singing gospel hymns to her. She retired from Soddy-Daisy High School Cafeteria after many years of service. Betty was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Ross Green; parents, Charles and Lelia Davis; brothers, Edward, Larry and Sammy Davis and sisters, Martha and Louis Davis. Survivors include her son, Chuck (Leisa) Green of Soddy-Daisy; daughters, Lisa (Ronnie) Hendrix of Hixson; Gail (Paul) Wright and Lorie Hartman, all of Soddy-Daisy; brothers, Bob (Daisy) Davis, Ronnie (Dean) Davis and Gary Davis, all of Soddy-Daisy; sisters, Frances (Melvin) Walker and Marie (Larry) Nix, all of Soddy-Daisy; special cousin, Joyce Green of Soddy-Daisy; grandchildren, Jennifer, Patrick, Jeremy, Mandy, Wendy, Heather, Savannah, Chandler and Connor; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Chyann, Johnthan, Noah, Eain, Madison and Abigail. Graveside services and interment will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, January 21, 2016 in Smith Cemetery with Rev. Melvin Walker officiating. There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Hospice of Chattanooga, PO Box 19269, Chattanooga, TN 37416.
