I have so many great memories of my sweet Uncle Harold! He was a wonderful man that I loved and admired very much. The highlight of my childhood summers were our Stancil family reunions and then leaving from there to spend a week with Uncle Harold, Aunt Barbara and my cousins. I had so much fun! A couple of times, Uncle Harold took me with him on his mail route and I felt very special! When I became a student at The University of Florida, I would call him when Florida played his beloved Auburn and we would tease each other about who was going to win. He always called me "Little Tama" and I can still hear him saying my name. I'm happy that he's at peace in our heavenly Father's Kingdom. I hope my mom met him as he arrived- she loved him very much. My prayers and thoughts are with you Aunt Barbara, Brenda, John, Sandy, David, Jenny and Chris. May you find comfort in the words of those who also loved your sweet husband, father and grandfather. I love you all. May God bless you always. Love, Tama

To the entire Stancil family as well as the many friends that Mr. Stancil leaves behind god bless and gods speed. I graduated high school with David. Mr. and Mrs. Stancil raised a great son and David is one of the finest men I know. Mr. Stancil most men learn most about life from their dad so job well done and rest easy knowing you did a great job raising your family. My thoughts and prayers will be with all of you. If I can offer any advice at all it would be to remember the best of times in the worst of times, Scott Cass Watauga, Texas.

Barbara, I saw John's (Harold) obituary in the paper today and wanted you to know how sorry I was to read this. You and Harold and Rhea and I go way back to the Armstrong SS Class days and we both thought so much of you two. Rhea has been gone 17 years now and it is not easy. Just know that I am thinking of you and your family at this time. Love, Nancy Watkins.
