Obituary of Vickey Denise Bettis

Vickey Denise Bettis, 60, of Dothan, AL passed away on January 19, 2016 from cancer in Dothan, AL. She was born and raised in Chattanooga until the age of 10 when she moved to Atlanta. At the age of 21 she went to work for the General Motors Plant in Doraville for the next 17 years. She is survived by her mother, Mary Venable Johnson and step-father, the late Granville Johnson both of Monroe, GA; father, Jimmy C. Bettis of Harrison, TN; sister, Deborah Johnson Artz of San Diego, CA and nephew, Grant Artz, United States Coast Guard; brothers, Jimmy D. Bettis and Troy A. Bettis both of Harrison, TN; cousin, Mark Kersey and several other family members of Chattanooga, TN. Her friend and caregiver, Pam Stacey of Dothan, AL who cared for her during her illness. She will be interred at Forest Hills Cemetery next to her grandparents at 12 noon on Tuesday, January 26, 2016. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the graveside at the funeral home.
