Obituary of Sergio Maldonado Garcia

Sergio Maldonado Garcia, 75, of Chattanooga passed away Monday, March 14, 2016. Sergio was an elite salesman and self-made businessman. He had an intense curiosity, and a life-long commitment to learning new things and always sought to be the very best at everything he encountered. He enjoyed telling tall tales, pulling pranks, helping others, and giving well thought out and often much researched advice. One of his greatest enjoyments was going out with his sons and showing them up in billiards, clearing the pool table while only using one hand. His wife was his queen and his daughters his princesses. His family was the center of his world and he never stopped being a father even as his children grew into their own lives. He is survived by his wife whom he completely and totally devoted his life to, Rosa S. Maldonado, of Chattanooga; his children of whom he was immeasurably proud of their accomplishments, Vania (Chris Slates) Maldonado and Rosa Varinia (Cy) Maldonado-Fuller, all of Chattanooga; Albert Maldonado of San Diego, CA and Sergio Antonio (Julie) Maldonado of Bakersfield, CA; his beloved grandchildren whom he would openly proclaim as brilliant in all they did, Emiliano, Sabina, Sierra, Javier and Octavian. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 4:00 PM on Monday, March 21, 2016 at St. Jude Catholic Church with Father Charlie Burton as celebrant.
