Obituary of Michael James Linz

Michael James Linz, 63, of Chattanooga passed away Sunday, March 27, 2016. He was a long time employee of The Bailey Company and a graduate of Brained High School. Michael was an awesome athlete. He loved Tennessee football, was an avid Braves fan and golf enthusiast. He played baseball and played softball on several teams including Combustion Engineering and New Salem Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles "Bud" and Vera Linz. Survivors include his son, Josh Linz and his mother, Melody Falcon, both of Chattanooga; brother, Pat (Wanda) Linz of Soddy-Daisy; sister, Judith Linz of Chattanooga; several nieces and nephews and a long time friend, Steve Fisher. The family will receive friends from 3-7PM on Thursday, March 31st at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
