Obituary of Mary Lea McDonald

Mary Lea McDonald, 98, of Chattanooga, died Sunday, April 3, 2016.
Miss McDonald was born August 7, 1917, in St. Elmo to the late James S. and Nettie Hughes McDonald and was a member of St. Elmo Avenue Baptist Church where she taught sunday school for many years. She retired from Tennessee-American Water Company with over 30 years of service.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, J.S., Milton, and Robert McDonald and her beloved grandmother, Elizabeth Hughes.
Survivors include her sister, Elizabeth Close; nephews, Don (Donna) Close and Tim (Janelle) McDonald; niece, Beth (Kenneth) Snow; three great-nieces, four great-nephews and seven great-great nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 4:00 PM, Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at Forest Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends 3:00-4:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
