Obituary of James Earl Kesler

James Earl Kesler, 86, of Soddy-Daisy, TN went Home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 11, 2018, surrounded by his family and friends.

He owned and operated Kesler Hardwood Floors for many years before his retirement.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #603 as well as the Scottish Rites.  He was a member of New Salem Baptist Church for 44 years where he served as Deacon and Church Treasurer.  He was also a member of the Harvester's Sunday School Class.  He enjoyed fishing and watching NASCAR, but most of all spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.

Survivors include his loving wife of 68 years, Almeda Kesler, daughters, Debbie (Mickey) Hurt, Donna (J. R. ) Hixson and Darlene (Charlie) Robertson, grandchildren, Bridget Hall, Natalie Crowe, Casey Bales, Eddie Griffith, Laura Kelly and Megan Roddy, great-grandchildren, James Michael, Emily and Dylan Hall, Makayla Bales, Anslie Crowe, Lucas Kelly, Easton Crowe, Gavin Roddy and Jade Roddy as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at 5 p.m. with the Rev. Alan Rogers officiating.  Graveside services will be held on Monday, October 15, 2018 at 10 a.m. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Military Honors.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 14, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until 5 p.m. in the funeral home.

The family would like to thank Hearth Hospice, especially Deborah, Sharon and Laura, for their care and compassion for our special loved one.
