Laura Kate Brown, 91, of Dayton passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at her home. Mrs. Brown attended Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Lee Houston Brown; son, Arnold Brown; daughter, Barbara Ann Brown; parents, Millard and Mary Plemons; granddaughter, Barbie Rankin; great-grandson, Hunter Nation.
Survivors include her daughters, Linda Rankin of Calhoun, Ga, Margaret Plott of Calhoun, GA, Brenda (Lebron) Brandon of Ringgold, Marie (Jeff) Amos of Dayton and Debbie (Mitchell) Shankles of Chatsworth, GA; sixteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; thirty eight great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Monday, March 18, 2019 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. David Winton and Rev. Donnie Hamby officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-7 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
