Obituary of Thomas Hancock

Please share a memory of Thomas to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Thomas Glenn Hancock, 67, passed away on Saturday, April 17, 2022 of natural causes in Nashville, TN.   Tommy was born February 13, 1955 in Chattanooga. Tommy attended East Lake Elementary and Jr. High Schools and was a graduate of Kirkman High School (class of 1973) where he started his lifelong career as an Electrician. He enrolled and was accepted into IBEW 175 Apprenticeship Program in October 1977 and remained a lifelong member, working in the trade until his recent death.   In addition to his chosen career, Tommy was also an extremely talented musician and an incredible vocalist and guitar player. He played with several local bands at every event in Chattanooga. Well versed in any venue, there wasn’t much he could not perform, none if he desired too. All of the acts created a bond of brothers that remain, and will continue to remain, throughout their lives.   Tommy never met a stranger. He loved his family, his pets, and spending time on his Road King.  He was so funny, he always had everyone laughing, and will be dearly missed.     He was preceded in death by his mother, Ludie Lou Hancock Bazeman; brother, Hugh Lynn Hancock; step father, Nathan Bazeman and special friend, Suzette Tosh.   Tommy is survived by niece, Kristi Hancock; brothers/bandmates, Joe, Randy, Kenny, Wayne, Dennis, Terry, Alan and Larry. Step sibling, Lana Little, and all of his brothers at IBEW 175.   A toast to the memories of a thousand of “Miller Ponies” we slaughtered in an orange VW. You helped make our world a wonderful place the time you were with us. Gone too soon, but we are happy to let you go knowing you have been received by our Lord and Savior and wrapped in the arms of Jesus and Lou. We will miss you brother, hope to see you soon.   Graveside service will be held 12:30 EST Thursday May 12, 2022 at Forest Hill Cemetery.   Tommy will be laid to rest next to his mother and brother in Forest Hills Cemetery, 4016 Tennessee Avenue, Chattanooga, Tennessee 37409   A special thank you to Wann Funeral Home and Forest Hills Cemetery for their help during this very difficult time.
