Obituary of Donald Lamar Lockard

Donald Lamar Lockard, 84, of Hixson passed away on Friday, May 27th, 2022. Don was dedicated to his family. He married his high school sweetheart, Eleanor Gammon Lockard. He cherished her for 65 years. He was a strong Christian and a member of Middle Valley Baptist Church. He retired from TVA & Mesa Associates. Don was an avid fishman, sportsman, and die-hard Alabama Fan. He was member of Middle Valley Bass Club and was very involved in youth athletics. He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Edward and Emma Lockard Bulman; daughter, Kathi Webb; and grandson, Matthew Jones. In addition to his wife, Eleanor he is survived by his son, Don (Leslie) Lockard, Jr of Kansas City; daughter, Pam (Greg) Jones of Hixson; brothers, Jim (Helen) Bulman of Lafayette, GA and David Bulman of Florida; grandchildren, Summer Schmitt, Kristin Webb, Ashley Hutcheson, Meghan Tholken, Michael Jones, Mitchell Jones, and Chris Lockard; 9 great-children; 3 nieces and 1 nephew. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Friday, June 3rd in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Larry Lockard officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Hamilton County Memorial Park. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Hospice of Chattanooga.
