Obituary of Earl Helton

Bud Helton, 85, of Dayton, TN passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2022 in a local hospital. He was of the Church of God faith and a member of the Daisy Masonic Lodge #706 where he had served as a Past Grand Master. He loved genealogy and was heavily involved in the Cherokee Nation. He was a respected former deputy with the Rhea County Sheriff’s Dept and was a loving father, grandfather and friend. He never met a stranger and was always there to help those in need. Bud was preceded in death by his children, Tammy Eustice and Ronnie and Rance Helton, the mother of his children, Anita Helton, parents, Luzon and Eleanor Helton and sisters, Selma Miles and Katherine Wreck. Survivors include his son, Mitchell (April) Helton, nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, extended family and friends. Celebration of Life Services will be announced at a later date.
