Obituary of Jonathan Scott Duckett

Jonathan Scott Duckett, age 42, died peacefully, surrounded by family at the home of his brother in Soddy Daisy on October 23, 2023 Jonathan Scott Duckett was born January 4, 1981 in Sumter South Carolina to Robert Dean Duckett and Karen Schoolfield Brown. Jonathan spent the past 20 years in Sumter where he was an avid Atlanta Braves and Carolina Gamecocks fan. He is survived by his father Robert Dean Duckett of Sumter, SC; mother Karen Schoolfield Brown and step-father Tim Brown of Hixson, TN; brother Brian Duckett of Soddy Daisy, TN; sister Mindy (Shane) Ransom of Chickamauga, GA; step-sister Michelle (Jeff) Graham of Soddy daisy TN; nieces Alexis Ransom, Addison Ransom, Kadie Graham and nephew Caden Graham, as well as extended family and friends, and his loving dog Anna. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Rosemary and Scott Schoolfield; Elona and Bill Duckett; Ethan Duckett The funeral service will be held at Legacy Funeral Home and Creamation Center 8911 Dallas Hollow Rd, Soddy Daisy, TN on November 11, 2023 at 4:00. Visitation will be at the same location beginning at 2:00. “We are reminded of how short life really is, and how we are just passing through. So, all the people you haven’t told you love lately, tell them, and live your life like you mean it.”
