I knew Helene through Lookout Mountain Elementary School and GPS. In that era the ladies basketball games were half court with 3 on 3 on both sides of the half mark. She was always lovely in personality and natural beauty, never the hint of pride or condescension. Truly a wonderful girl/lady to have known and admired. She was likely a unanimous choice for May Day Queen. I remember the maypoles and the entrance to Aida by the "court" - the underclassmen were always so enthused to see the upperclassmen in pretty dress clothes, as they didn't get to see them at the Baylor and McCallie proms.

My Grandmother worked for Mrs. Striebinger, then Helene. I met them both and they were like part of our Family I remember when Will and Wendy were born. My Grandmother was Alice Burton and she loved Mrs. Striebinger, Helene and her Children. The Carousel in Coolidge Park, I observed being created in St. Elmo.
My sincerest condolences to the Family and Friends of sweet Helene. May God be to you whatever you need Him to Be. HE WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU!!!
