Obituary of Joseph Arnold Cofer III

Jay Cofer III In loving memory of Joseph “Jay” Arnold Cofer III, 56, of Hixson who went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 28, 2024. He is survived by the love of his life, his beloved wife of 35 years, Tracey Hunter Cofer and their fur babies. He is also survived by his parents, Joseph Jr and Patricia Cofer, his sisters Jeri Montgomery (Michael) and Julie McLain, nieces, and nephews Jenna McLain Vickery (Jacob) and Jonathan Montgomery (Chloe, his intended), and father-in-law Thomas “Butch” Hunter. Also surviving are special friends, Chris and Lorie Calbaugh. Jay had numerous other surviving friends, aunts, uncles, and cousins who were all special and important to him, but too numerous to list. Jay enjoyed fishing, the beach, Jimmy Buffet, traveling with Tracey, and hanging out on his porch. He was a kind and generous person who never met a stranger and helped everyone he knew. There are no public services announced at this time. Please play a Jimmy Buffet song in his memory.
