Our Mom, Mary Irene Cox, passed to the next realm Friday while holding hands with our Dad, her husband of 70 beautiful years. The Lord is gracious and kind to have us have her in this world and we praise Him for His gift. An earthly Angel became a heavenly Angel and there is celebration in the Kingdom! Mrs. Cox was a member of Lookout Valley Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Patrick C. Cox, Sr.; sons, Patrick C. (Carol) Cox, Stanley J. (Betty Ann) and Bruce E. (Rhonda) Cox; daughter, Carol (Gary) Starnes; grandchildren, Caitlin Hare, Stephanie Cox, Allison Cox, Carle Wahyudi, Patricia Ganger, Lesley McDonald, Christina Starnes and Bryan Starnes; great-grandchildren, Kaki Ann, Michael, Carter, Lily Jo, Wally, Anna Irene and Avery. Funeral services will be held at 12 PM on Monday, August 15, 2016 in the funeral home chapel with Darrell Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens West. The family will receive friends on Monday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to, McKamey Animal Center, 4500 N. Access Road Chattanooga, TN 37415.
