Obituary of Barbara Jean Keltch

Barbara Jean Keltch, 55, of Sale Creek, died Friday, May 16, 2014. Barbara was born Dec. 30, 1958, in Johnson County, Ark. She was known for her kind heart and love for her family. Her children were her pride. She lived in a custom log home built by her father and enjoyed tending her flowers. She worked at Kayser-Roth and at TVA in security for many years. She was preceded in death by her father, Elmer Owens; brothers John Edward Owens and James Owens; sisters-in-law Wanda and Linda Owens; grandparents, John Clifford and Margaret Williams Owens, Jack and Lena Henderson Hooker; uncles Jimmy Hooker and Francis "Buddy" Hooker. Survivors include her children, Wesley Scates, Jeanna Keltch and Angela Hixson, all of Sale Creek; mother Willie Mae (Joe) Fields, Sale Creek; sisters Dorothy (Henry) Clevenger, Sale Creek, Mae Dean (Larry) Jones, Soddy-Daisy; brothers Paul and Arthur Owens, both of Coal Hill, Ark.; aunt, Dene (T.W.) Standefer of Red Bank; several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be at noon Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at Welsh-Rogers Cemetery in Sale Creek. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
