Obituary of Anna Hampton Coker

Ann Hampton Coker, 80, of Soddy-Daisy, died peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Friday, October 3, 2014. She was born on February 28, 1934 in Chattanooga, TN to the late William H. and Ruby L. Gross Hampton. Born and raised in East Chattanooga she graduated from City High School in 1952. She was a long time member of the Old Westminster Presbyterian Church and a Life member of Ooltewah High School PTA. She is survived by her brother, Don Hampton of Chattanooga, TN; daughters, Lisa Coker and Lori (Johnny) Johnson of Soddy-Daisy, TN; sons, Chris (Sandy) Coker of Chattanooga, TN; Ty Coker of Ooltewah, TN and Lee Coker of San Mateo, CA; grandchildren, David (Missy) Hampton of Dayton, TN; Nikki, Tony and Patrick Coker of Ooltewah, TN, Ricky (Ashley) Cook of Jacksonville, NC and great granddaughter, Courtney Hampton. Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Sunday in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Welsh-Rogers Cemetery in Sale Creek, TN. The family will receive friends from 12 noon - 2pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
