Obituary of Janice LaVonne Sharp

Janice LaVonne Sharp, 54, of Hixson passed away Thursday, October 19, 2006 at her home. Mrs. Sharp was born in Chattanooga and was of Baptist faith. She was a long time employee of Dallas Bay Golden Gallon and prior to that worked at Dixie Savings Store. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jewell Ritchey and father-in-law: Raymond Sharp, Sr. She is survived by her husband, Raymond Lee Sharp, Jr. of Hixson; father and step-mother, Alonzo and Sue Ritchey, of Soddy-Daisy, Son, Randy (Cristy) McRoy of Dayton; daughter, Jennifer (Tim) Carpenter of Hixson; Brother, Earl Ritchey of Harrison; Sister, Vickie Ritchey of Hixson; Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Jim and Carolyn Perry of Lawrenceville, GA; Grandsons, Austin and Dylan McRoy of Dayton and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 Monday, October 23, 2006 in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. David Stancil officiating. Burial will follow in Chattanooga Memorial Park. Jim Perry, George McRoy, John Patterson, Tommy Jones, Joe McRoy and Kenneth Harry will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 11-9 PM Saturday and 2-9 PM Sunday at Legacy Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
