My deepest sympathy goes out to the McPherson family at the loss of Kayla, her sister, and parents. I remember Kayla as a bright and creative fourth grader in my Language Arts class. Her smile was endearing and contagious. She will be missed!

My family and I are deeply saddened for the loss of Kayla, her sister and her parents. Kayla was one of my daughter's best friends when the McPherson's lived in Tampa and Wesley Chapel. The girls met at preschool and they stayed good friends throughout the years. I will miss Kayla's contagious laugh and smile. Even if she was having a bad day, Kayla would do her best not to let anyone know. We love you Kayla and we miss you!

To the family: We share in your grief for the loss of Kayla, and we send you our love. We met Kayla 3 years ago when she began All-star Cheerleading with my daughter, Samantha, right after moving here from Tampa. Kayla and my daughter grew very close over the last couple years and became BFF (Best Friends Forever), as I did with her mother, Deborah. Kayla spent a lot of time with us....shopping, traveling, and just hanging out. I called her "my 2nd daughter". We shared a lot of smiles, laughs, and sometimes tears. Kayla will never be forgotten and will remain in our hearts until we meet again. Our prayers and thoughts are with you. May God grant you comfort in this difficult time. Sincerely, Nancy Diaz and family

Our love and prayers are with you as we accompany you in your pain. Kayla was a beautiful girl whom we enjoyed watching her cheer next to Michelle. We will always remember her as a loving and sweet girl. We have precious pictures with Kayla from cheerleading and if you would like we can share these precious memories.

Kayla was a beautiful girl and also a good friend to my daughter, Kelsey who is also in the 8th grade. They had a lot in common, and both were cheerleaders. I am glad they had a chance to know each other.
