I worked for Larry at Tropical Sportswear. I especially remember how proud he was of his '65 red Mustang. He was a very good person to work for. He always made me feel like a very important part of the team. He will be deeply missed. I am very saddened by the loss of such a wonderful family.

To the family: The news of the McPherson’s tragic accident came as such a shock and feels surreal. My family and I would like to express our sincere condolences on their passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time. We will remember Larry as a wonderful man, husband, and father. Larry was down to earth and a lot of fun to be around. Nelson and Joanne, it has been so long since we talked and we are absolutely devastated to hear this news. We have lost track of ya'll. Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to you, we have so much history. I know you are inconsolable We are at the same number and address as always. Nelson & Joanne (Mom & Dad) I wish there was something I could do or say to help, but I know there is not. My own grief is almost unbearable, so I can't imagine the pain you are suffering. Words cannot express the sympathy and sorrow I feel for your loss. Those left behind are in my thoughts and prayers. I worked for Larry at Tropical Sportswear from May of 1999 until he left the company in 2004. He was a good friend and mentor and we continued to stay in touch. I last spoke to him the Wednesday before Christmas. He seemed so happy and content, finally escaping the corporate world to run his own business and be his own boss. I heard of this plane crash from my mom who lives in Florida. I felt compelled to write and tell you how sorry I am for your loss. We lost a family of four that we were extremely close to on Dec 17th in a plane crash also. We are completely devastated We had their memorial service on the 22nd. Larry & Debbie were our next door neighbors on Gregory Dr. in Tampa. We can't think of a more loving family, they were so devoted to each other.
