Heath always wanted me to play football. I've had 2 people that always tried and get my mom to let me play and they both died before they could see me play. I started thinking about it, and Conal and Heath are being buried in the same cemetery and they will both be in a mausoleum So I have decided to dedicate my senior year of football to the memories of them both. Heath came into my life when I was 18. He was such a big part of my life. We had hard time together, but for the most part all I can remember of him is all the things he did for me and to help me. I knew if I needed someone to just make me laugh or talk to he was the one. Heath was a very special person. The thought of never seeing him again has left a huge hole in my heart. My one wish would be to talk to him one last time to let him know how lucky I was to have first a loving boyfriend, then a true friend. I am praying for his parents and daughters. I will always love Heath and will never forget the person he was. Love always Chanda

I am sorry to hear about the loss of Heath. I met him 16 years ago when he ran around with Danny and Travis and Robert. I haven't seen him too much the past few years, usually on the softball field or just out and about. He still always remembered who I was and treated me as a friend. I will always remember him for that. I will keep his family in my prayers.

I just received word of Heath's passing. I am in shock over the loss of my childhood friend. While Heath and I lost touch through the years, I remember endless summers spent down at his house with Shawn and Chad. Heath was always willing to let me tag along on his 4-wheeler, which I thought was the coolest thing. He was always so funny, so witty and full of life. I can't believe my old neighborhood pal is gone. He will always be remembered by me. I wish his family understanding and peace through this time. Sincerely, Katherine A. Hayes (Keesee)

You don`t really know what to say when something like this happens. It says alot about a person when you lose touch with each other and have not talked in four years, but still find yourself telling funny work stories from that long ago.He made more of an impression on me than I really knew. It's sad that it takes this to realize how short life is because you take for granted that you will see them again some day.Steve, my heart goes out to you and your family.

I remember Heath back when we were kids. My dad and Steve were big pals and dad used to drag us over to their house. I was the only girl and all the boys were always nice to me. Then we grew up and I would run into Heath and still he was always nice and asked about my dad and brother. I grew up with all these boys being around and my heart aches for everyone involved. He was a great person. Heath will be missed greatly and I hope with enough prayer God will help each and every person involved and most of all Steve & Pam and his daughters. God Bless

To all the family I am very sorry for your loss. Heath was a great friend with an unbelievable sense of humor. Heath could always make you laugh in any situation. As time passed and we went in different directions I could still cross paths with Heath and feel that our friendship had never changed. If Heath was your friend he would stand by your side through thick and thin. He was a great friend and will truly be missed. Trevor

It is so hard to know where to even start, the Roach family means so much to me. Growing up through high school, I had many friends but only a few true best friends. Heath was my best friend. We hung out as boys do and always had a great time. I will always remember his great sense of humor. There are so many memories that Heath and I share along with our other close friends. Thank you Pam and Steve for treating me as one of your own. You did a great job raising us boys. Your door was always open and welcome to all our friends, even when you were out of town : ) Thank you and I love you guys.

Mr. & Mrs Roach... Words cannot express what I wish I could convey to you right now. Many prayers are with you. May God's love blanket you and lift you up through this time. I think of Heath as the pesky little kid down the street who was always in the middle of whatever Chad and I were doing... a good 'kid brother' in other words. I can see him now racing through your backyard on that 4 wheeler that we all thought was so cool, all except the neighbors probably. Please know that you are in my prayers. Send my love to Chad & Shawn. Maybe we can all get together real soon. Jimmy Black jimblack@fpunet.com Fayetteville, TN

Mr. & Mrs. Roach, Chad, & Shawn, I just want you all to know that your family is in my thoughts and prayers. I cannot imagine the pain and hurt you are going through at this time of loss. Life is too short it seems. It seems just like yesterday that me, Shawn, and Heath were trampsing around the ole' neighborhood with not a care in the world. Heath was always there to shoot some hoops with and give me some basketball pointers. I will always cherish those days (even the time Heath nailed me in the face with the basketball, but was made to march up to my front door and apologize with tears in his eyes.) I always felt like Chad, Heath, & Shawn treated me like a little sis'. I know that Heath will be greatly missed and I pray that God will comfort your family at this difficult time. ~Debbie Black Rose Hendersonville, TN

Mr. and Mrs. Roach, The funniest memory I have of Heath was when he and Brian had to tell my parents that they had thrown a party while Mom and Dad were out of town. During that party, there was a punch thrown by Brian and a hole in the wall. Heath was the one that was trying to calm me, while all I could think about was how bad Mom and Dad were going to kill me! Suzanne called to let me know about Heath...I wish we could be there to support your family and honor Heath. After all these years of being away, your family stills holds a special place in my brother's, sister's, and my heart. Our prayers are with your family!
