Helen Lucille (Reed) Lay entered eternal life on February 2, 2007. Born February 5, 1917 in Knoxville to Donald and Martha Reed. She was 89 years old, just 3 days short of her 90th birthday. Helen was a resident of Soddy Daisy Healthcare Center. She was a loving wife to her husband of 56 years at the time of his passing. Helen was a devoted mother and grandmother, a devout believer in Jesus Christ and a long term member of West Haven Baptist Church in Knoxville. Preceded in death by her husband Herbert W. Lay, her son, Ronald Lay, great-granddaughter, Kimberli Erin Cress, and son-in-law Daniel Headrick. Survived by her daughter, Judy Ann Headrick, granddaughter, Ashley Bice both of Soddy Daisy. Grandchildren: Gina Lay-Cress, Kimberly Grubb, Todd Lay, and DeAnna Lay all of Knoxville. Great-grandchildren, Mikel and Nick Grubb, Heather Lay of Knoxville, Emily and Savannah Bice, Soddy Daisy.A Graveside Service was held Sunday, February 4, 2007 at Bells Campground Cemetery in Powell with Rev.
