My father was a loving man. His love included his family as well as his love of artistry, wildlife, and God. Everyone who knew him well, and even those who maybe met him once, can always recall his brilliant smile and his unforgetful candid humor drenched with a heavy coat of a southern accent. My father taught me to enjoy drawing and to respect wildlife, and love God. He also taught me how to be patient and forgiving. Until I see him again, along with my passed loved ones waiting for me in Heaven, I will forever carry my Father's spirit, love, sense of humor inside my heart. I will cherish the things he taught me and I thank God every night that he was my father. I have been in denial over his sickness for a decade, now I must try and cope in a world without him. I must thank Sharon, his wife. I have made mistakes with her that I might never get to correct. But she took excellent care of my father and loved him very much. He loved her very much. And I love her. I pray for her because she is, like me, lost. Thank you all for the love and prayers you send. This feels like a time for mourning when it really should be a celebration of my father being free from sickness, pain, depression, and a celebration of him going home to be with our Lord and Savior. I love you Daddy...I'll see you soon.

I KNEW MICKEY AS A YOUNG KID.....WE ALL USED TO HANG OUT AT WADDELL'S GROCERY ON FOUST STREET....HE WAS OLDER THAN ME, BUT I CAN STILL REMEMBER MICKEY BEING SO NICE TO ME AND LETTING ME HANG AROUND WITH ALL OF THEM...MY SISTER, GAIL, GARY MAYNARD, JOEL JACKSON, SUE GUHNE, RONNIE WADDELL, MIKE AND JERRY PAYNE AND A LOT MORE....I WAS ABOUT 12 YEARS OLD THEN, BUT WHEN I SAW MICKEY'S PICTURE I KNEW IT WAS HIM, BY HIS SMILE...I AM SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS, BUT REMEMBER THIS, NOW MICKEY IS SMILING WITH HIS LOVING SAVIOR...THANKS FOR LETTING ME SHARE...

Mickey was a very outstanding and compassionate man. Anyone who knew him knew that no matter what the situation might be he could always bring a smile to your face with his great sense of humor. Over the years we had lost touch and had not spoken except when he came to pay his respect in the loss of a family member.Even then his smile overpowered the pain that we were all in. I will always Cherish the memories that I have of Mickey and he will never be forgotten. Our thoughts prayers go out to the family. Holly, I can't even begin to tell you how sorry I am that you are having to deal with such a tremendous loss. There aren't any words that I could say to ease your pain. Cherish the memories you have and hold them near your heart,in doing that, he will always be with you. God saw the road was getting rough; the hills were hard to climb. He gently closed those loving eyes and whispered, "Peace be thine." We love you, Erica & aunt Jo.

Sharon, I admire you for taking wonderful care and loving him so deeply. He was so good to my son Dewayne and Dewayne remembers all the fishing, he hopes he is catching BIG ones in HEAVEN with our LORD JESUS CHRIST. I am sorry we did not stay in touch, Dewayne and Mickey would have enjoyed that. Wanda Burke
