Dear Karen: I wish to express my condolences on the occasion of Phillip's death. I lost my husband 2 years ago and it changes your life. God did not take Phillip, in the sense of causing his death, because God said "I don't take delight in the death of someone dying"(Ezekiel 18:32). God "cares deeply when his loved ones die"(Psalms 116:15). He knows the heartbreak of loss; he watched his son die, and because it affected him, he gave life to Christ again. "Is it not one Father that all of us have"(Malachi 2:10)? Could God give life again to one son and not another? No. John 5:25 says that he will send Christ, at a day he sets, to call with a loud voice to Phillip to live again. Until you are one of the "women that received their dead by resurrection"(Hebrews 11:35), may God comfort all of you. Respectfully; Robin Harris
