Sheila JoAnn Carpenter, 70, of Soddy-Daisy passed away Sunday, February 24, 2008 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Carpenter She was employed with Southern Filter Media for many years. She is survived by her daughters, Sheree Jo Race of Soddy-Daisy and Belinda Reed of Signal Mountain; brother, Gary Brown of Hixson; sisters, Glenda Vanwinkle of Hixson; Connie Harvey of Soddy-Daisy; Theresa Rockholt of Harrison and Tina Hale of Soddy-Daisy; Grandchildren, Brandi Mazzilli of Houston, TX and Jesse Parker of Soddy-Daisy; four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM, Wednesday, February 27, 2008 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Leroy Webb officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday and from 11:00 AM until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Legacy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 8911 Dallas Hollow Road, Soddy-Daisy, TN 37379.
