Tina and my sister Pam were life long friends. They went to elementary and high school together and stayed in touch through the years. I got to know Tina through my sister's friendship with Tina. When I first started driving Tina and Pam were passengers in the car. I was driving slow and Tina said speed up or I am going to put a brick on your foot to push the gas pedal down. Tina was very honest and up front about everything. I loved her honesty and straight forward personality. She had a strong personality but also had a tenderness about her and a compassion for other people. One summer I went on vacation with Tina, Barry, Barry Jr., and Drewry at Virginia Beach. While on the beach a woman was dragging a young boy toward the ocean and he was afraid and crying Tina jumped up, ran to the woman, and demanded she release the arm of the child. The woman was stunned and the little boy was not pulled into the ocean. I always considered Tina to be part of our family and my mother loved Tina as a daughter. To all of us who loved Tina, her love and spirit will always be in our hearts.
