John, Your Mom was my God Mother. As I was growing up and as I became an adult, she always took time to remember me at Christmas time. Even after my mother and Betty's double first cousin, Rachel Hamilton McCallum, passed away, Betty still took me under her wing. Her smiles and graciousness were such lovely traits. I am so sorry that she has passed away and send my condolences to you. I wish for you courage in your grief. I know you have many wonderful memories. Rachel McCallum Green, Peachtree City, GA

My most cherished and vivid memories are of when our entire extended Cummings family lived together on the family dairy farm in the Wauhatchie Valley in the early 60s. Aunt Betty was so bright and lovely in her Lilly Pulitzer clothes. I remember taking a boat to the cabin across the river gorge that Uncle John had lovingly reassembled from ruins. And his Edsel! And Zetty! Best childhood a farm-girl could have...Love to you Little John in losing dear Aunt Betty. XOXO Elizabeth Miller

Dear John, We send our heartfelt sympathy in the loss of your Mother. We felt that we knew her through Brent & Lisa. Brent always spoke of her with love and admiration of such a fine and lovely lady and Lisa so enjoyed their tradition of exchanging books at each birthday as well as looking forward to receiving photos of Sister Kittie... which she always shared with us. May you feel God's Love and Comfort in abundance especially during this time of grief... You are in our thoughts & prayers. Yuvonne & Hal Pierce

I will always love and remember Mrs. Cummings! 35 years ago I worked at Lookout Valley Drug Store and she was always a joy and a ray of sunshine when she walked in the door. When I got married she gave me a beautiful covered casserole dish that I still use today and it always makes me smile. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Melia Reeves
