Obituary of Stanley Gene Young

Stanley Gene Young, 75, of Hixson died Saturday, July 13, 2013 at his residence. A native of Hixson, he was the son of the late Orel and Clara Lee Young. Gene retired from Peachtree Heating and Air of Atlanta after 30 years of service. He was a member of Sequoyah Baptist Tabernacle. Gene was also preceded in death by three brothers, Hayne, Russell, and Michael Young. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Peggy Pendergrass Young; sons, Norman Scott Young, Kissimmee, FL, Aaron Lebron Young, Hixson; grandchildren, Robin Ingram, Nolan Young, both of Dallas, GA, Norman Scott Young, II, and Gabrielle, Young, both of Minneola, FL; sisters, Martha Faye McGill Martin, Pikeville; Nella Dean McMillan, Hixson; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 2 PM Wednesday, July 17, 2013 in the chapel with Rev. David Stancil officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton County Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Sequoyah Baptist Tabernacle, 8405 Daisy Dallas Rd., Hixson, TN 37343.
